Alumni Sandwich and Liquor Bar, nestled along Calgary’s lively 17th Avenue, draws inspiration from classic diner counters and retro luncheonettes. Designed as an approachable, casual spot, it features a long bar with fixed swivel stools—perfect for enjoying a stacked Reuben. Booth seating divides the space, framed by slatted wood for added texture. Materials like VCT floor tiles, laminate tops with diner-edge details, simple wood paneling, and aluminum accents nod to its vintage roots. A bold palette of mustard and burgundy contrasts with rich browns and cream to create a striking, nostalgic atmosphere.
