The interior concept for the Scarboro Residence was shaped by the interplay of two opposing ideas. On one hand, it explored what creates a sense of comfort and belonging—the feeling the family wanted to return to each day. On the other, it sought to evoke the escapism and serenity that come with travel and stepping away from the familiar. Influences included the warmth of Ett Hem in Stockholm and the contemplative calm of Fogo Island Inn in Newfoundland. Our design embraces the everyday details of home, elevating them to create a space that feels both grounding and transporting.
