Home & Away channels the spirit of community sport and childhood nostalgia, drawing inspiration from arenas, rec centres, and field houses. The space features stacked red brick, cinderblock, and exposed joists, setting an institutional tone softened by playful detail. Twenty-foot garage doors open onto 17th Ave, extending the energy to the street. A reclaimed gym floor, vintage time clock, and trophy-topped taps speak to the game-day vibe. Bold colors echo retro team uniforms, while salvaged elements—skateboards, stadium seats, and sports ephemera—add texture and charm. Even a hallway water fountain nods to the everyday spaces where the love of sport began.
