Our clients envisioned an intimate space rooted in classic cocktails and refined charm, with just a hint of the unexpected. The result was a design concept we called Proper Strange—a moody fusion of elegance and eccentricity. Inspired by the rich cultural tapestry of New Orleans, the space blends French, African, and American influences. Smoky Mountain greyed wood, shuttered doors, raw steel, and dirt-worn walls establish a weathered, soulful foundation. Layered atop are oxblood leather, vintage brass, and ornate wallpaper, adding sophistication. A curated collection of peculiar artifacts and oddities animates the walls, evoking both mystery and delight.
